Thanks for visiting! What does early retirement mean for those who chose to save so intensely and early for retirement and essentially had enough money to stop working around age 30? This is a question I have been asking myself and for [...]
What early retirement means when you’re too young to retire
Swedish sausage dish
Cheap, fast, very filling, and filled with starch, cost <$1/person.
Ingredients:
2 pounds of potatoes
6-8 cylinders of mystery meat (hotdogs)
paprika
1 large onion

1 small can of tomato paste

Walking in the rain
Currently a little windy drizzlemajor storm is moving a few leaveswrecking havoc on the bay area. Alright, I haven’t checked out the entire bay area, but in my opinion around here it’s just rainy and windy. Weather is to a large extend all about perception and the right clothes and I grew up in a [...]
Lending victoriously to strangers
I have written earlier about my experiences with peer to peer lending. Personally, I treat it like an investment no different from any other investment. In my experience the risk/return rates are similar to liquid junk bonds. However, peer to peer lending has a social component to it and it is a lot more intimate [...]
Bicycle commuting
The past year I have been commuting by bike on most work days. The distance is about 6.2 miles and my odomoter shows 1736 miles for the year. Granted, I have done some recreational riding as well including a half-century, that is 50 miles, on some particularly crazy Saturday, but I doubt that totals more [...]

Or a dot com millionaire
And I didn’t get famous on TV
Or win the lottery
Or a game show
And I don’t earn a six figure income
Although I’m sure that would be really really nice
I live within my means, not beyond them
I have [...]

How to get wealthy on minimum wage
This is an interesting challenge which I believe I could do if I had to. To reiterate: This posts shows what I would do. As always, I am not you, and it is your responsibility to decide whether you want to and whether you need to hire a certified financial professional to consult before following [...]
