I always get a good laugh out of such broad valuation methods. They are entertaining, if nothing else. Trying to find a buyer at the calculated price would probably be pretty tough, especially if you aren't going to stay and provide new content. Obviously, the value of most blogs is tied directly to the talent of the blogger. That's why blogging for the love of blogging is usually a better reason than blogging for the hope of a big payout. If you enjoy what you're doing and you make some money too, that's great. It sure beats trying hard to make money and finding limited success. This post was a good read and I enjoyed your analysis.

"Instead I have created something of value which was fun as well." I agree.

These tools are funny and I don't put much stock into them (mine is worth $10,000). I do like the way you looked at the additional analysis - I never thought of looking at it that way.

I really have no idea why since you more technorati authority than me which seems to influence the calculation. I suspect it's because you don't have your own domain? I transferred out of blogspot and to my own domain after about 3 weeks of blogging because I wanted more control over how my blog looked. It took me half a day to do the transfer and a couple of days to reach the state you see now. I think it was worth it and I would do it again if I had to.

Wow, talk about time well invested! The calculator says my blog is worth $0, but thats fine. Documenting my progress is incentive enough :)
