I so agree with you Jacob. I wrote about something very similar recently.  After I stopped watching TV for a while and moved away from the relatively well-off community I grew up with, it hit me just how strongly I had been affected by these external influences.  

Learning to recognize what is enough for me and my needs... it's taken some work but I'm getting there!</description>
