I save dryer lint to set out in the springtime for birds to use in their nests. They love it.

Well, burn my dryer lint? ha. I do use the junk mail to start the fire though, so I'm with you there. This is a great list. I'd add; if you buy a magazine every month, subscribe! The 12 months costs about what 4 issues go for. Choose one every 3 months to keep the renewals that far apart.

Yes, that sock idea works!
I have two colors of socks: black and white.
This is much less chaotic in the morning than trying to figure out if pink socks match or clash with pink shirt.

One of my moneey savings tips, at the risk of sounding hokey: what sometimes works for me when I think I might "need" something is to take a good look around at my possessions 1. either I already have "it" or, 2. I get creative and fashion some new "it" Whichever way I go, I realize how much I do have and am grateful once again.

Thanks for linking to my dryer lint post. I do use a clothes line a lot, but winter here doesn't always make it possible! Great list!

Jacob - Great post and thanks for adding me to your blog role. Also, your blog is exceptional and I am adding it to my Google Reader so I stay current with your posts. Looks like you have 'blog technology ninja skills' which is one of my goals to learn the technology better this year - time allowing with work and school. I like the top 25 list and the sock idea will be of use as I am going to buy socks soon!

yay! for #18. I would like to see more frugal bloggers use linux.

I use a clothesline nearly all the time except for drying towels in wet weather. Using lint as a firestarter is a great suggestion.
