@FHR - 1-2 weeks of being hungry at the other (breakfast, lunch) regular meal times. About 6 months for food outside of dinner to get a serious boost e.g. eat a couple of bananas at 1pm and play a game and I'm full of energy. About 1 year for the body to become leaner (it happens quite slowly). DW on the other hand has blood sugar crash induced migraines, so in the beginning she would get migraines. Then she would cheat on the diet and after several weeks of wavering back and forth, she went back to the three a day standard. I can not stress the importance of not cheating enough. The body has to be taught not to fire off insulin at the previously scheduled times.

Just wondering what kind of transition there was when "switching" to the warrior diet. Specifically, how long did your body take to adjust, where there any side-effects (i.e. headaches, irritability - either a general sense or from the bowels, etc.)

The food posts are fun. I'd enjoy reading a post dedicated to blood sugar / insulin / diabetic / anti-diabetic concepts. (I'm useless in that regard and want you to do all the preliminary research for me. ;-\ )
.
You said: "When medical studies disagree, it typically means that the truth is not important enough to be easily determined." What is this, the Irrelevance-of-Elusive-Knowledge thesis? ;-\
