Thanks for the book suggestion, I’m reading it now and it’s great! My local library is better than a bookstore, just place a book on hold with the website and it’s broght to my local branch, sitting there waiting for me the next day.
Eustace’s life is similar to Alex Supertramp’s life in “Into the Wild”, also a very good read.

Transportation in and around town can be done by bicycle. Jacob seems quite adept at that. He just has to work on the DW a bit.

Pulling a trailer sucks (in my opinion).

Plus, for transportation in and around town, Jacob has a bicycle. That’s easily carried in the RV.

I’m sure you have thought about this but why not a trailer? No insurance required, you can pull it with any truck (gas guzzling trucks are very cheap right now). You can use the truck for convenient transportation without bringing the whole house along. When the RV engine blows up, you’re stuck paying whoever is closest whatever they are charging to rebuild your engine, you are “captive”. If the truck engine blows up, you buy another $1500 truck. Trailers are 1/2 the price of a similar sized motor home.
