Executioner: "pop" is somewhat common -- if you want obscure, try "tonic".

Did you really just use the term "pop" to describe a fizzy soft drink (aka soda or "Coke")? I thought only quirky Midwesterners did that. Using that term in certain parts of the country will garner some quizzical looks, or even get you laughed out of the room.

Hey I sell collectible crap on ebay. Keep on collecting I say. I've got a garage full of die-cast NASCAR models that would look great in your living room. And they're so useful too!

Start a collection. The best collections take up a lot of space and aren’t worth anything. I recommend figurines.

Park your car in the street and prepare to put things in your garage.

Classic! I never understood the point of figuines or putting a junk in a garage and a car out in the rain!

@bleh bleh, rememeber these are baby steps. The storage unit, bigger house, etc. are for pros.

15. Buy something to decorate your body with: perhaps cool shades, an earring, or even a tattoo. You can later graduate to something you need to keep re-buying like hair dye or liposuction.

16. Become friends with more big spenders. Or encourage one-upsmanship with your current friends not in the areas of fun or interesting things, but in the areas of expensive or new things.

17. Start calling in sick on Fridays. Now you have more time to shop. (Make sure to do all your shopping during work hours so you won't get caught.)

18. Apply for another credit card. Remember, that "credit limit" is yours to spend.

19. Take one of your hobbies to the next level. If you like reading, start collecting first editions. If you like eating, think about becoming an wine connoisseur.

Quality list, but why store crap in the garage of all places, when you can rent a storage unit? Garages are more suited to home gym setups (for those times when you get tied of going to the health club).
