Fun link to a neural network that analyzes your writing style and tries to guess your gender.

What would be interesting know is to see if these percentages correlate with the gender of the readership.

Hmmm, I’m not sure I like that! Not that there’s anything wrong with being a man, but I figured my “voice” matched my gender. (Maybe voice and writing style aren’t totally correlated, huh?)

I don’t know the predominant gender of my readership, but my commenters are predominantly women, so I always assumed that reflected the general makeup.

I suspect the choice of topics, specifically certain words, has a lot to do with the training of the network and the outcome of the guess. (See tomorrows post for more on outcomes).

I’m 65% man at Tight Fisted Miser and 76% man at Bank Bonuses. I guess banks are more manly than frugality. TFM has a predominant female readership and BB has a predominant male readership.

That’s funny. I scored 51% woman, however it stated my site was quite gender neutral. Despite my unusual name, I am, in fact, a man, but my manhood won’t suffer for the ranking.

This is pretty fun. I am apparently 77% man. I don’t think I have a readership of any kind so I couldn’t really say if there is any correlation.

Unfortunately they only analyze blogs in English, and mine is in Portuguese. Pity, though, or I guess mine would be something like 95% woman-like.

But I already knew that the majority of my audience is male, 35 and older making a lot of money, looking to invest in promising dividend companies..
