Go see the movie "In Time" on friday night at around 6:30pm with your friends, and buy a slice of pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries and the largest soda you can with your regal credit card. Then wonder about the movie a little, and say to yourself "Man i could buy it all if i had a trillion dollars even if everyone else in the world had to work under me for 40+ hours a day. I would want more of their life energy to store in my protective vault for all eternity so i could be happy buying anything on a whim and never have to think about my life because other celebrities and financial advisers could guide me."

Buy the latest iphone and change it every three months the day Apple releases the newer model. Extend your contract by 2 years everytime you buy such newer model. Same goes with ipad, television set etc. Participate in endless arguments with your friends if iphone or android is superior. Keep buying the latest songs from itunes as they become available. Have a starbucks coffee every morning because you look cool walking to work holding a cup in hand. Dont make the mistake of bringing home made coffee to work because you will look like a loser. Buy bottled water. Buy coke with every meal. Use like 10 napkins every time you eat since that is what everybody does. Dont lock your doors and windows while leaving house, buy $40/month security systems instead.

Buy a car? Phhht. Come on....we all know leasing is the way to go. :-)

And you didn't even mention the Harley - THAT will impress the neighbors. Nor did you mention the power of the bass or ski boat that Quest's dualie truck will tow as well - nothing screams "I've Made It" quite like a boat. You also didn't mention, of course, you "have" to have the vacation home on the river to take the ski boat to - just think of the additional opportunities for serial remodeling and endless furniture buying a vacation house affords (ha ha...."affords"). And I haven't even touched on having the latest fashions as, I'd just DIE, if I wasn't the best dressed at the party I'm throwing for my closest 200 "friends".

I hate myself even more after reading this post!! Have you been spying on me 8)

How about buy a 32 foot travel trailer AND an expensive dually truck to pull it AND a rusty classic car that you 'discovered' on a trip hundreds of miles out of town that you buy and trailer back with you because you intend to rebuild it from the tires up?

You forgot, to go to the Casino every weekend with $100 and then get out $100 every half hour from the ATM machines, while you order another round for the group! Then take taxis home individually or tip the valet extra if you didn't drink any.

Buy a new 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe. Lose $11,500 when you bring the title into your name. $11,500.00 poof! Better yet, buy a hybrid Tahoe and lose $14,000 poof! You have not yet paid a dime on the Tahoe, but you spent more than 10 grand for a "shine and smell". You drove it home (took about 30 minutes). That drive cost you big bucks. (Hopefully you were not paying on a toll road to get home). You left it in the driveway, out of the garage the afternoon so your neighbor would be SURE to see it. $11.000 to get "one up" on your neighbor, the one you never speak to anyway, as he is never home, because he works 24/7 to pay for his "old" 2010 Tahoe and his $3.000 a month mortgage. You revel and bask that afternoon with the new ride sitting on the driveway. When the neighbor comes home from work (and his wife comes home from work) they "see" the new pearly white Tahoe in the driveway. Depression and desperation set in.
"The Wickawoo's must have gotten a new car". Next day or within 10 days at the Revenue Office, the new car gets licensed and registered. They had to wait for the check for sales tax from the dealer (which was rolled into the loan). Bang the registration is done and the 2011 Tahoe for all practical purposes is now a "used" car. They spent the first year's depreciation and the sales tax in one fell swoop. Probably enough money right there to have bought a reliable and decent used car. Not yet mentioned was the $4,700 negative equity from their trade in which was also rolled over into this new loan. Counting everything, the Wickawoo family is about 18 grand upside down and its not even day 10 on the 2011 Tahoe. But they are "driving new every two" and besting the neighbors. Worth it right? Higher insurance and taxes will hit later, but not much later. Now the only problem the Wickawoos face is if the neighbor is willing to go for the 2011 Lexus SUV.
