I make shampoo, deodorant, laundry detergent.
I knit scarves, shawls, and sometimes a sweather.
I often make my meals from scratch (although the ingredients cost me more than eating at my companies restaurant).
And I can make a mess of almost everything, but that was not wat you meant.

Have you read The Happy Minimalist? Your thinking is very similar to his. If you have not read it, I would highly recommend it. It is an easy read (true to its title but gives you a lot to think about….

My wife and I mirror most everything that has been listed so far—in addition, we make a place to live, a safe and happy community, for 28 elderly (62 and over) and disabled persons. We have what is known as “an apartment complex” for them. But it is far, far more than a simple apartment complex. We strive in every way to help them make it their home. We are not an assisted living complex, but being here you would think it is. When one of them dies, it affects us as if they were our own family, a grandpa, or grandma. When I am out mowing or moving around the community, it is not unusual for a door to open and a tin foil of fresh baked cookies is placed in my hand. If one of the ladies is afraid in the night, a phone call is made to us and we go to their apartment and visit them on the issue. We are on call 24/7 for our residents but we prefer the term “people”. I could go on and on about how proud we are of the community, but this is enough. WE MAKE PEOPLE HAVE A HOME!! And the reward of it is so intense, I have no more words to describe it.

I make messes.
I make excuses.
I make mistakes.
I make mountains out of molehills.

Oh, wait, you probably mean good things. Like George said.

I make good pancakes, spaghetti, taco soup, and desserts.
I make pumpkin butter and salad dressing.
I make my own checkbook registers.
I make my own day planners.
I make my own finance trackers.
I make protective covers for things.
I make pot holders.
I make rope.
I make estimates and predictions.
I make plans and decisions.
I make adjustments to my plans and decisions.

- Plans, all the time
- Investments
- Small repairs
- My life longer (aging kills you, I don’t understand why this isn’t the nr1 issue that research funds are devoted to)

Interesting. I can see someone with your characters really enjoy this. However, I would guess most of the people are just lazy and rather go to work, shop, being in the herd, watch TV and complain.
