With that many cross references, have you looked into this newfangled "hypertext"? I'm told it's good for creating hyperlinks for such cross-referencing.

"My philosophy is that you become what you are"
This seems to me to imply that people are static, basically if A becomes A, then by induction A has and always will be A. So if you turn yourself into B, it would seem to me you violate the rule because now previous A has turned into B. Unless you mean for the statement to only apply to the present and future while not true for the past.

I admire anyone that can write and stick with it. I tried doing a journal entry every day this year, but was done around mid-February. I just started forgetting about it and then a few days missed became a few weeks. Oh well.

I've always written the same way you describe. Once I "craft" a sentence, I don't really change it. School was always rough when they asked us to produce a rough draft.

When did the 30-day challenge turn into the 21-day challenge? Did you run out of ideas for days 22-30?

@chris - Haha :-D Maybe we should start a trend and always start all comments anywhere with "Good-post-I-agree" insofar of course they are good posts and we agree with them.

Your description of the progress so far and what I know from your blog is enough to sell me a copy as soon as it's available.

Now hurry up and finish so you can cash in! :)

Hmm. . .I've never tried to write a non-fiction book. I have a half-finished novel I need to start back on, but I agree, it's hard to work on two writing projects. Right now I'm very into my blog, so the novel is in the background, although I think that may change soon.

I have the opposite writing process from you, but it makes sense because I'm writing a novel. I have an idea for the chapter, then I write the whole thing in a huge brainstorm and put it aside. Then I go back, save the great prose and ideas and cut the crap. It is very non-linear and intuitive. Logic tends to kill my plot and my characters . . .

I think that blogging is a really fun way to address a complex issue, by the way. Because you can attack it from many angles, and put links back in. But I do find that sometimes I just feel like posting on an overreaching idea and it is too big for one post . . .

Good luck on your book and thanks for sharing about your writing process.

Thanks for drawing attention to the 21 day challenge. I hadn't noticed it before, but I'm very interested to read all the articles.

I'm also interested to see your book. I think your approach is unconventional. I've spent a lot of time in the personal finance section of the library and a lot of books say either: do what I did (whether it's flip houses, trade options or gamble in Vegas) or follow the traditional approach of budget, save, invest, wait. But there's a lot more to money than money, as you've pointed out, and the hardest part to communicate is how the way we think about money affects what we do with it.

PS. Some authors give away a book or two on Goodreads. You might consider that as part of getting the word out.
