since I&#039;m not smart enough to do that, I use a different approach:  Looking far enough down the road to not panic in the rough spots.

until the country collapses, the markets will always recover.  I remeind myself that what I own is a peice of operating business, not just tradable certificates.

and I try to add to my holdings when prices are down.</description>

		<description>You definitely had the timing on this one right!:)  A cash position would have been very handy to have, if only to be able to scoop up certain stocks &quot;on sale&quot;.  This is only good advice for those who research their stocks, though.  One fund I&#039;m going to save for in the future is cash for buying up stocks on sale.  I&#039;ll keep a watchlist (I already do) and keep track of their values over time, to get to know the stock better.</description>
