One cooked cauliflower for the elven kings under the sky,

an equal volume of boiled potatoes for the dwarf lords,

nine dashes of pepper for mortal men, doomed to die.

One pan for the dark lord, also a lid,

and enough eggs to rule them all and in darkness bind them together

in the pan of Mordor – Served with fresh tomatoes and slices of cucumber

We have potatoes and eggs for dinner at least once a week. We do it a bit differently, just dice up the raw potatoes, fry them, then break the eggs over the top and mix in. I’m afraid I’d have a mutiny on my hands dare I soil it with cauliflower though!

My kids like this with Ranch dressing, my husband with salsa.

We sometimes put in onions, peppers, sausage — all kinds of stuff.

Yikes! I’m not sure I’m brave enough to try that recipe. Kudos for the prose though.
