Last year (2009) we had a series of guest posts where readers presented their early retirement plans. That worked really well and it was quite interesting. If you want to share your story, just follow the instructions.

I figured I’d gauge the interest for a follow up series about saying no to something that everybody else believes is absolutely essential to their life, such as TV, refrigerator, car, cell phone, phone, computer, electronics, indoor plumbing, neighbors, all night sleeping, … you name it. The more it challenges convention the more interesting it will be. I would be mostly interested in the reasons or motivation for voluntarily saying no or doing things differently and how it makes life different.
