I hate going up on the roof, but I hate scrubbing the roof even more so spending an hour up there today sealing a skylight was an absolute joy. I highly recommend it!

This was also my first experience with a caulking gun and let me tell you, they are not as fun as they look, especially once you get the sealant on your fingers.

Lessons learned: You can do many maintenance jobs yourself if you are sufficiently agile to avoid killing yourself when getting back on the ladder (ours is not built in) going down. Also not being afraid of heights helps.
