Any idea when the Kindle version will be out?

I have just finished the book with my first read.
I tend to read the literature once, and then settle later into a second read, noticing the references, and jotting down anything I wish to further study.
I will do a book review, later on the forum. A book review, where one agrees in total with the author, is at best difficult. There is not much value in saying “Yeah, that’s right”, or “I could not agree more”.
At this time, I will say that I am extremely impressed with the wisdom portrayed in the book. It’s as if the author is writing from a lifetime of experience with the subject matter. Although the author has a PhD in the various sciences, what is reflected more is the aspects of common sense. I do agree that the author has a fine analytical mind, which promotes knowledge from various discoveries about the subject. However, the book is written in a tenor of common sense knowledge.
Knowledge that should have emerged from personal experience, but in some cases may not have. I could be mislead on that of course.
My first impression was this was the ultimate summation of all the personal finance books I have read to date. The important points are there, staring at you as you read, the immaterial items are not. I was very impressed with the concise and well pointed methods of reason used in each chapter.
If my fellow forum members will entertain a book review thread, I will be glad to participate with my thoughts, but once again, it is hard to be constructively critical of anything your already fully signed up for!

@HSpencer – I’m pretty sure a review thread would be popular. I for one am highly interested in what people have to say, especially in terms of target groups and reaching a wider audience. I need to determine whether I should/need to write another book or not and if yes, the content and style.

@4444 – Which state are you in? $6 sounds like priority mail speeds. If you ordered Friday, it may not have shipped until Monday and cross country takes 5-8 days for a package in my experience. I’d wait a few days. Otherwise, try here

Hahaha, you’re right, Jacob. According to the “experts”, you’ve probably written one of the worst landing pages ever for your book. Where’s the yellow highlighting and the big red buy now button?!

But I love it! I’ve been studying several different methods for selling informational products for a while now, and I can identify with all of your criticisms of the accepted practices. So actually, your copy page made me want to buy your book more. I picked up on all your jabs like “This is not a book which will teach you how to get rich by making a few phone calls.” and your criticisms of the minimalist movement.

I’m afraid I may be guilty of some of the things you’ve pointed out – the tips to do this or that – probably in an attempt to appeal to more people. I try to include philosophical content as well to help people understand the broader ideas behind saving/making/investing money but they just don’t seem to do well.

Anyway, just wanted to say I like your landing page just the way it is and can’t wait to read the book!

@AJ – So more or less in the style of the 21 day makeover? If I just expanded (ugh!) that into a book, what would be missing?

You’re right, that’s a landing page like I’ve never seen before. Where are the free interviews with other bloggers? Where is the upsell? Where’s the crossed out original price? Where’s all the pretty colors and clip art?

I love the “deny ownership” part – sounds like being caught with drugs or something.
